In which there is punching.

[ Just an average Saturday night at the Griffonix. Of course that means it's fairly busy, but not unmanageable. There's a nice, relaxed atmosphere, and most patrons are familiar enough with the place that if they do have to wait, they don't mind it. People are making conversation over the music, and Madigan herself is behind the bar.

The bar is fairly busy as well, but she's got a good handle on things. Not that she isn't grateful for a sudden lull. It gives her a chance to catch her breath. ]

[And giving Madigan a kiss on the forehead c:]

[griffonix]

[ Oh. That was.

Oh. ]

... Amelia, do you have any plans for tomorrow?

[recluserose]

[Blink]

No, not really. Why?

[griffonix]

Would to like to stay with me tonight?

[recluserose]

Well... You stayed at my place before so... Sounds good to me!

[griffonix]

I'm glad. And after all of that, I'm more than ready to call it a night.

[recluserose]

Want me to recite more poetry?

[Amelia sober up already geez]

[griffonix]

[ That gets a laugh out of her. ] Maybe later.

Go ahead and head on up. I'm going to go grab Mel to watch the bar.

[recluserose]

Alright, but just letting you know!

[Well, at least she can walk]

[griffonix]

[ The enchantment on the door to her apartment should let her through while Madigan tracks down her second in command.

Mel takes a moment to tease Mads, though. "I saw the way you were looking at her~! Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" But Madigan waves her off and heads up to her apartment. ]

[recluserose]

[Amelia's kind of... dead to the world right now since she's collapsed on the couch while waiting for Madigan.

But at her feet, Amelia magicked up a vase of bright colored flowers as if to say, "Welcome home."]

[griffonix]

[ Mads chuckles to herself. ] You are the sweetest thing.

[ She kicks off her heels and moves to the couch. No reason Amelia should sleep there when the bed is much more comfortable, and more than large enough for the both of them. It takes some figuring, but she manages to scoop her friend up, bridal style, and carry her towards the bedroom. ]

[She won't stir for a while until she's in bed, but she does shift a bit to get comfortable as she's being carried]

[griffonix]

[ Amelia stop being so cute! Madigan sets her down in the bed, and removes her glasses to set them on the nightstand. She bends over to plant a kiss on the other woman's forehead, murmuring: ]

Good night, dearest.

[recluserose]

[And she murmurs back since her voice reaches her despite her slumber:]

Night.

[griffonix]

[ That just makes Madigan smile. She stays up a bit longer before finally deciding to call it a night and crawling into bed next to Amelia. ]

[recluserose]

[WAKE UP IN THE MORNING FEELING LIKE P... Ow.

That's Amelia's first thought when she wakes up and feels her hangover and her still kind of hurt nose. She didn't punch herself that hard, thankfully, but still. She stares at the ceiling blinking sleepily after glancing at Madigan.]

... Ow.

[griffonix]

Mm? [ Madigan rolls over, blinking sleepily. She does smile when Amelia finally comes into focus, though. ] Good morning to you too.

[recluserose]

I drank way too much again didn't I?

[griffonix]

Just a bit. Do you remember anything?

[recluserose]

Something about snorting cocaine and I think I punched myself on accident.

[griffonix]

Well, yes. That did happen. You have a bit of a bruise, by the way.

You don't remember the poetry?

[recluserose]

Ah. Yes. About that.

[There's a pause and she still stares at the ceiling as she rests the back of her palm on her forehead.]

One shade more, one ray less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

[griffonix]

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent.

[ And if it seems like Madigan is toying with Amelia's hair as she finishes off the poem, well, it's only because she is. ]
